Where a traditional free trial would allow someone to use the app completely unhindered for a short time, this “free trial” only lets the new user experience a few benefits. It requires a membership upgrade to open up the actual features.

As we said, the “free trial” that the JSwipe app offers is limited and is designed to give someone a taste of the app in the hopes that they will spring at a premium membership plan. Here are the feature and benefits that free trial users can enjoy without having to pay any money:

- Upload photos (integration to Facebook)
- Edit profile or bio information
- Set and adjust your search settings and parameters
- View other members’ profiles
- “Like” or “pass” (swipe-style dating)
As you can see, the “free trial” is the perfect way to get your face and your information out into the JSwipe dating market without having to pay any money. It’s also a great way to see how the app works and is set up. You also get the opportunity to see who’s using the app (completely free of charge!).
But ultimately, you cannot interact with other members at JSwipe unless you’re a paying member. Our official recommendation is to get a premium membership plan, but it never hurts to start with a “free trial!”
Cost of the JSwipe Upgraded Membership
There are three premium membership plans available on the app, and they are officially called JSwipe First Class. These plans differ in their length but have all the same membership features.
Note: Customers can get a deal on purchasing a longer membership plan due to the fact that the cost-per-month rate drops as the length of the plan increases. Longer plans ultimately cost more in the end than the shorted plans, but customers can save on the monthly cost rate over time.

But as a paying member, you open yourself up to these helpful features:

The fact that you can send messages to other members on the JSwipe app is reason enough to purchase a premium membership plan (at least in our opinion). The free trial is great for getting an idea of how the app functions, but it’s no viable substitution for a paid membership plan. There are too many good features that you could be missing out on!
Auto-Renewal
All membership plans, regardless of their length, are set to automatically renew themselves once they come to an end, the goal in mind being that members don’t experience any sort of lapse in service or coverage from JSwipe.
If members don’t want their memberships to automatically re-up (you’ll end up getting charged again for the same plan), they can go into the JSwipe help center and turn off the feature under “Billing and Subscriptions.”
Signing up with JSwipe
JSwipe is one of those dating apps that cannot be accessed using a web browser on your desktop PC or mobile device. It needs to be downloaded as an app from either Google Play or the App Store. There is an actual JSwipe site, but it will direct you to download the JSwipe app to enjoy its services.
What is the sign-up process like? And how is it done? We’re going to show you step-by-step, and we’ll tell you right now that the entire process will probably take you under 5 minutes! Sound good? Let’s get into this.
Step #1: Download the App
Begin by downloading the JSwipe app from either Google Play or the App Store.
You may have visited the JSwipe website not knowing that JSwipe is an app download only. But no worries. You can navigate to the app stores in no time at all!
This is what the JSwipe homepage looks like. Click on “Download App” in the upper right-hand corner of the screen to proceed.
Once you’ve clicked on that button, it will change to offer you the option of downloading to an iOS or Android device. Click on the one you need, and you’ll be taken automatically to either the App Store or Google Play.
Step #2: Integrate with Facebook
Click on “Login With Facebook,” and all your information and your main profile picture will be transferred to the JSwipe dating app.
Something important to know about the JSwipe app is the fact that you must be a member of Facebook in order to join. This applies to free trial members and paying members alike. The sign-up process at JSwipe is so short and easy to get through because they integrate your Facebook information into the app, saving you the time to go through and enter all your personal bio information from scratch.
Step #3: Enter Some Additional Information
Once you’ve logged in through Facebook, you’ll be taken to this screen where you need to include some extra information that will be featured in your main JSwipe profile. Some of it will have to do with your Jewish faith and customs (kosher, denominations, etc.), and some are personal information (gender, career, education, etc.).
There’s even an option to get your JSwipe profile connected with your Instagram account to add some extra depth to your profile.
Once you’re done adding and adjusting your profile information, go back to the top of the screen and hit “Save.”
Steps #4 and #5: Enter Your Location and Set Up Your Search Parameters
One of the biggest factors in the JSwipe matchmaking system is using your location to find Jewish singles near you. You don’t have to give your location to JSwipe, and many don’t because distance is not always a factor for some people. But if you want to find Jewish singles in your local or regional area, it’s best to share your location for better search results that are close to home.
Before looking for Jewish singles on the app, it’s a good idea to get your search criteria and your dating parameters set up, ensuring the right suggestions are provided. After providing your location, click on the small icon in the upper left-hand corner of the screen where you see three horizontal lines.
Customer Service
Customer support and assistance at the JSwipe app come in the form of an FAQ page and a search bar where members can make their own inquiries and troubleshoot problems or issues as they arise. There are no methods for reaching support like email, phone, or live chat. It all falls on the customer to work through their issues on their own.
How Do I Access the Help Center?
Go back to the main menu under the three horizontal lines icon. Go to the last option: “Help.”
